This 8 week class, will take place over 8 Thursdays, 6:30pm-8:30 pm. March 11, March 18, March 25 and April 1, April 8, April 15, April 22 and April 29.
This childbirth education course uses evidence-based curriculum aimed at preparing you to make educated, informed decisions throughout pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. This class provides an intimate setting for expectant parents to ask questions and gain a full understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and newborn care. Some of what we will cover:
fetal development
physical and emotional changes during each trimester of pregnancy
comfort measures during pregnancy and birth
common prenatal tests and procedures
positions for birth
pain management and relaxation techniques
skills for decision making
expectations and plans for your birth
basic postpartum and newborn care
